Not only is it fresh but it has a nice slightly bitter and salty citrus scent that I absolutely fell inlove with. You know, there’s plenty of citrus fragrances that smell fresh, but Mandarine smells ‘alive’! The mandarin note here has that juicy, slightly bitter quality you get when you actually peel the fruit, rather than the sweet orange candy kinda thing that citrus fragrances sometimes fall into. Then the rhubarb comes through and gives the whole profile a green, tart edge that makes it much more interesting than your typical summertime citrus. It never feels like citrus water that disappears after twenty minutes. Bright, clean, easy to wear, but with just enough weirdness around the edges to remind you this is niche perfumery. I could absolutely tear through a bottle during this Florida summer!
